The Goodwill Experience

When our group was looking for a place to volunteer we had a hard time finding a place that could fit both of our schedules and wouldn't be too boring.  After we searched for a while Joe brought up Goodwill and it seemed like the perfect fit.  Goodwill allowed us flexible hours with labor that didn't seem too boring.

When we showed up for orientation it was quite an experience.  Many of the people there had to do court appointed community service and weren't too happy to see us.  After filling all of our paperwork we were cleared to work there.

The first time we worked for 2 hrs. and we stacked books the whole time.  It was also this day that we realized that this was probably the most boring thing we could have chosen.  From our experience we realized that Goodwill is like a garage sale that is always getting more junk to clutter their shelves.  After a while we did other jobs such as putting clothes away and putting things on shelves.
